Ned Cooper Gold Jr., Esq. | Managing Attorney | The Gold Law Firm, PC

An accomplished attorney with more than 50 years of legal experience, Ned Cooper Gold Jr., Esq. has lent his wide range of expertise—namely in general corporate law and employment labor law—across several renowned firms. A practicing attorney since 1966, he served as a partner at Hoppe, Frey, Hewitt & Milligan from 1971 to 2010 and has been an attorney, partner, and managing member at Ford, Gold, Kovoor & Simon, Ltd. since 2010 and a managing attorney at The Gold Law Firm, PC, a personal injury practice serving Colorado, since 2020. While balancing these responsibilities, he also founded the Philmont Staff Association in 1973. Highly involved in his community, particularly with the Boy Scouts of America, Mr. Gold formed the organization as a means of bonding current and former staff members of Philmont Scout Ranch, the national high adventure base of the Boy Scouts—consisting of more than 4,000 members and thousands of service hours.

A native of New Mexico, Mr. Gold grew up as a proud member of the Boy Scouts and earned the high ranking of Eagle Scout in his youth. He has been affiliated with the organization his entire life and was even recognized with the highest award in scouting in 2020, the Silver Buffalo Award. He gravitated toward the legal profession as an extension of his Boy Scout services, wanting to help as many people as possible in his community. In order to do so, he earned a Bachelor of Science in philosophy and political science and a JD from St. Louis University in 1963 and 1966, respectively. Upon passing the Ohio Bar and the Missouri Bar in 1966, he was active as a judge advocate general in the U.S. Air Force for nearly five years and commissioned through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. In the midst of his service, he furthered his studies with business coursework at Wichita State University and the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Gold sits on the board of the Animal Welfare League, the local chapter of the American Red Cross, Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital, Hospice of the Valley, and the Christ Episcopal Church Foundation. Over the course of his robust career across several fields, he has accrued such accolades as an Outstanding Non-Rotarian Volunteer of the Year Award from the Rotary Club, a Community Star Award from the Warren Tribune Chronicle, and recognition as a Super Lawyer.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Gold aims to transition his firm to another law firm. He’s currently working with his son, Gregory Gold, also an attorney, at the Gold Law Firm.
